Former Beatle Paul McCartney is expected to find out on Monday howmuch of his fortune he must hand over to estranged wife Heather Millswhen a judge rules on their acrimonious and highly public divorce.

With the world's media poised to pore over every detail of anyjudgment, it is unclear whether judge Hugh Bennett will make public allor part of his decision, due to be handed out at London's High Court.

The ruling will not necessarily spell the end of one of the mostbitter and high-profile break-ups in British legal history. If eitherside is unhappy, they can apply for permission to challenge the rulingin the Court of Appeal. Unlike the closed hearings so far, thoseproceedings would be in open court.

Initial reports put the bill at up to $404 million (BD152m), or a quarter of what McCartney's fortune is estimated to be worth.

Amidst the divorce drama, McCartney reveals in a new celebritycampaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, he turnedvegetarian after going on a fishing trip.

He poses next to the words: "I Am Paul McCartney, And I Am A Vegetarian" in the advert.

l It took American Idol seven seasons to secure permission to usethe Lennon-McCartney catalog, but access to the Beatles' songs paid offin big ratings for the show's Tuesday installment.

According to preliminary national data from Nielsen Media Research,29.3 million people on average watched the two-hour show. But duringthe last half-hour, perhaps as people realised that it was Fab Fourfiesta, the number rose to 31.6m people.
